The grid fights back

W3C have just released a draft of a module that will allow grid positioning, as familiar to print designers, in cascading stylesheets (CSS) version 3. Interesting – I wonder what the politics of this have been, given the complete rejection of such a system in the earlier versions of CSS. Perhaps it was simply too much to contemplate.
