More like it!

Following my previous comments about how the activity of design isn't explained at current Design Museum exhibitions, it's been interesting to listen to Back to the drawing board on Radio 4. Covering the competition to create a new seafront for Morecambe, the programme includes some revealing interviews with architecture practices. Designing for a competition is one of the larger gambles in the design business, and hearing how some practices justified the task and managed to afford to take on the challenge -- which is a serious drain on time and money -- is informative listening.
